AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The mission focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
